Ah that's interesting that they applied from overseas, which means they did not have at least 3 years residency as ive seen some say is needed.

A quick update for anyone interested- My application was received on the 25th of June and my ceremony fee of 130 GBP was deducted today. No request for the full registration fee yet:fingerscrossed:

Glassybell I only paid the ceremony fee. My hope is that if they decide that I should have paid, they'll contact me requesting the additional funds. I've seen this happen with a few cases.

Thanks for getting back to me. She was born in 1935 in England. And my mom was born in 1961 in South Africa. She was able to aquire citizenship in 2012 when section 4C was introduced.
