still considering all the options to be honest as well as areas.
currently thinking we may just buy a lock up and leave sooner to escape to with a view to move permanent in the future.

we wouldn’t be looking to work whilst there and live off our savings.
we live a frugal life here with our outgoings around £600pm here without mortgage which we wouldn’t have in...

could Anyone clarify how a uk resident can live in Italy?
what are the visa requirements? Do you need to have a certain amount of money in the bank and how long does the application...

just for clarity we were looking at the Almeria region.
I think based on all the fab advice we will keep saving and see what the situation is like in 3 years.

Thankyou for this. My husband would also be able to draw his pension in around 8 years time. So although we know we have 100k possibly more to last us 10 years really it only needs to be 8.

Hi thanks for all the replies so far.
As we wouldn’t have a massive mortgage or rent outlay the outgoings would purely be for insurance, water, gas elec, broadband and so on.
