I'm like you that I have live abroad most of my adult life (in Cyprus not the USA) and now with family...

This is the part I'm worrying about, I assume we already meet the prerequisites to apply as we got the family permit. I'm trying to find out the chances of it being rejected

It is a huge problem, which we also have here at the moment , for lots of complicated reasons he has to leave his job he would need to retrain here or take on odd jobs. Either way we have this issue...
