Putting a shower unit in the kitchen

I may want to move downstairs at some point and I wondered if anyone has some experience of fitting a shower unit in the kitchen?
(It's a large kitchen, and I already have a downstairs loo)

Re: Looking for pension advice

Thanks for this. I'll look at the trust issue.
As I said above, I have no problem with the withdrawals from the current scheme, I declare all my income for tax of course.
I agree about the...

Re: Looking for pension advice

Maybe minefield is an exaggeration. I'm still working through the details. It is one of several options, see my post above. I intend to stay in France.

Re: Looking for pension advice

Yes, that's what I was wondering. What I need to look at is whether it's £85,000 per SIPP or per provider. This whole thing is a minefield.

Re: Looking for pension advice

I went to the FSCS page and found a link that said that compensation for SIPP defaults was limited to £85,000. Maybe there are other safguards without that limit?

Re: Looking for pension advice

Again, thanks.
Do you take into account the guarantee amount of £85,000 per SIPP in your work? Or are you comfortable enough in the financial strength of the providers?

Re: Looking for pension advice

Thanks for that. How do you find dealing with SIPP? Easy or difficult? What kind of fees should I expect to? If there's any other useful information I would appreciate it.

Look, I'm not being rude, I'm just trying to find out if anyone has set up a SIPP, and with whom. I appreciate your help.

As I said before, the reason for posting here is to see if anyone has experience of setting up a SIPP.

Re: Looking for pension advice

Yes, I know that.
Also, the lump sum will be taxable in France, althought there seems to be a flat tax option.

I've talked to several UK FAs.
