I'd practice driving before moving to UAE, if the driving standard there is not good. My current driving license can be transferred to the UAE one and no exam is needed.

Thank you. But I will come to the Middle east alone and may not have friends at the beginning. I'm currently living in HK and most of my friends here do not drive either.

Thanks for all the advice! I have little choice about security guard of my apartment, as my employer will provide me with free accommodation. Wearing a wedding ring seems to be an interesting idea....

That's good! But did staying together before marriage a problem to you in Al Ain? I felt horrible when hearing that pre-marital sex or living together before marriage would make people in jail!
