Did not go any further than questions and a threat to "throw me in front of a judge". The guy just seemed in a bad mood! Funny thing is, at that point I was genuinely living in the US and took a trip...

Thank you. Can I ask, why would most select to be treated as a sole trader? Does setting up a UK Limited company complicate things more?

Yeah, I wouldn't exactly be employed by these companies, I work remotely and not under contract on projects. It looks like im good with the foreign earned income exclusion but I still may need to pay...

So guys, i'm leaving next week. Would it be wise to enter the US on a green card? Would they accept it if questioned I said I was in the process of moving back to the UK and need to tie some things...

I returned to the UK 3 months ago while my husband applies for a UK visa from the US. In the meantime I would like to take a trip back to the US to see him and help bring some more things...

We living in quite a few addresses over the years so thought it made sense to keep the post for the Visa, and our bank stuff at his parents address. I know better now!

How are they to know he's left the country and has obtained UK residency? Through tax return filings or do they look into these things?

I left maybe 2.5 months ago so my green card and residency would still be active as it stands.

How do I prove i've been in that USCIS district? I guess my bank bills go to to my husbands parents...
