we are in the same position as Jules - luckily. Business is ok - weather and home life has been great - and we are just thankful we moved here when we did, it was definitely a good...

easily - we had bupa cover in the uk so we applied to HBA, which is part of bupa and got continuity of cover - ie no exclusions

Hi Lynn,

don't worry about private medical insurance. As a British citizen you are entitled to reciprocal healthcare. Having said that, most of us get private cover anyway.

Well Jules - it was low key and overstated. Good to do it - the catering was dire - but everyone was happy to be there, except, probably the family that didn't turn up!!

Yes indeed - still loving it.

We will definitely apply for citizenship - can't see any point in not doing it, saves re-applying for visas.

yeah - we can apply from about 11th December - because we have to add on the 2 weeks we spent in Japan skiing.
