Again true... we had to wait 3/4 last time to get the passport back.

From what I believe is that awaiting assessment means they need to check through the documents do further checks etc.
Awaiting decision means that all checks have been done and just waiting...

1) yes you NEED to submit the APPENDIX 2 FORM for a spouse visa. I made the mistake first time round of not submitting this as there was no remarks rageding this on the gov website...

She passed her speaking and listening exam in July last year so we'll be using that and also a new tb medical test report.
