Re: Residency query

I suppose what we're actually ultimately aiming at is a retirement visa but we can't get them until 55 (now 42) so we were looking at sort of 'semi-retirement' (ie work in UK for part of the year and...

Re: Residency query

Would we (on a long stay visa) be allowed to have two trips per year - one upto 6 months and another upto 3 months?

Re: Residency query

Thanks for that. Will look into it further when I get to Perth in a few weeks.

Looks like the long stay ETA (up to 6 months) might suit us.

Re: The Yellow Envelope Arrived

I was looking at properties in Leeming on the 'net yesterday.

Leeming's in a good spot, easy access to the highway into Perth and also over to Freo.

We were over there earlier this year.

Re: 'Employment' whilst in Oz on an ETA

It does but the thread I read related to a guy from Canada who carried on a business in Canada whilst on extended holidays in Oz. It was still deemed employment and he has been barred from Oz.

I...

We're at the early stages of deciding whether or not we want to move to Oz.

I work for myself and am planning a...
