I don't know about Texas but in Connecticut you need a "Full" UK License which is only good for 90 days, during that time you are expected to take & pass your test (I think it's the same everywhere)....

Eric, it WAS NOT an English Language "TEST". It was a full "CLASS" for people who could barely speak English. THAT was the insulting part.

Jessy, I lived in the US for 20 years, My son is a FULL BORN US Citizen. I don't think that is a "drop by every couple of years for a flying visit.

When (& if) you mailed yours back to DVLA was it to inform them that you no longer needed it because you were emigrating?
