They want to pay him for the audition.... The audition entails 6 rehearsals plus a final concert, and then an interview after that. Does he have to refuse the money?

We got a request for proof that I would move back to Canada with him. That request came two months after we sent the application. Using the client number on that request, nothing comes up online...

Wouldn't it be possible for him to work as a guest conductor? They often hire people from out of the country just for a few concerts.

If CIC knows that he has a job waiting, would they speed up...

Yes, but I guess those at yogi799.com are waiting for various types of work visas. I've applied through the Family Sponsorship, so presumably we won't have to wait as long...
