I cited "other" vs job/education details...

Re: Customs Form .. Transfer of Residence

The TOR is a customs form. If you are NOT bringing goods (furniture, books, pets etc) outside of a couple...

Re: Customs Form .. Transfer of Residence

Just a reminder to get the number BEFORE you ship.

A reputable shipper should not accept your goods without the TOR.

My goods arrived exactly when they said they did, intact (for the main part)...

Re: Customs Form .. Transfer of Residence

I already stated i used a professional shipper.
I have no doubt that customs are as confused about the new system as anyone!
I was merely pointing out that the TOR should...

Re: A question regarding shipping personal belongings back to the UK.

Just to be clear - the TOR people process your application, but they are not receiving.
The TOR number needs to go to the shipper prior to sailing.
Customs receiving, not Parcelforce, need the...

I used "other" and a family address, and an approximate date for shipping.
When i spoke with HMRC i asked them to review my docs, and she said they had everything they needed.

Re: A question regarding shipping personal belongings back to the UK.

I understand. Similar situation.
I used my family address and cited family reasons. My understanding is that if you use work or study you need back up documents.
