Biometrics on 21/12/17, documents sent on 29/12/17, documents received by Sheffield and confirmation email on 4/01/2018. Then on 15/03/2018 received "NOT straightforward" email. After that...

Yes I got an email on 15/03/18 saying that my application is NOT Straightforward and will take longer than usual. I applied on 21/12/2017

I'm on day 64 today. No news at all. Got a NOT straightforward email couple weeks ago. I wonder if should contact them to escalate my application. I paid non priority.

hey NJK, no they didn't send any email, text or phone call. Nothing at all. I just checked my credit card statement online by chance and money was there.
You better check your friends CC statement....

good luck guys. I just received an acknowledgement letter from HO with all the original documents back saying they will contact me once a decision is made is on my application. Fingers crossed.

Hi Njk, I am in a similar situation as you. My visa was refused on 15/10/17. I also asked HomeOffice to refund me IHS fee but haven't yet. I got the same email. I wonder why they are taking so long...

You can take all your passport for biometrics and then they will tell you what to do, either to send with documents or they will keep them with you current passport.

No they don't check documents at the VFS centre. They just check the printed online application form and applicants passport. That's it. Then they ask you to do the biometrics. there is nothing to...

Dear all,

I had appointment yesterday for Biometrics and documents submission in Hong Kong. Biometrics was done and they only kept my passport and nothing else.

They did not take any documents...
