Just a suggestion - would it be worth getting married sooner with a very small scale ceremony in US?

You could then start the spouse visa application much sooner (and get it approved quicker!)

My wife and I managed to successfully handle her spouse visa to move to UK and more recently mine to move USA.

Our case was convincing eg lots of evidence of trips together, living in same place...

I do have an LND number, we've done i-130 / DS-260 etc. Just started collecting remaining financial/civil docs like the affidavit of support and the police...

A quick update on the situation:

After leaving Spain and visiting ChickenNugget in USA, I returned to the U.K. earlier this month and managed to start a job earning £28,000pa on 10th April.

Thank you both for your help, we are currently looking at a timeline for the Family of a Settled Person visa. Looks like it will be up to 9 month wait from the point I return to UK.
