Surely the Rm 1,000 to RM 3,000 must be a typo? If they mean RM 10k to RM 30k, then I wonder how that would not be benefitting the economy.

The offshore income requirement of RM 40k is a real killer! I think the other requirement changes are bad but still manageable for middle/upper middle class foreigners but a consistent offshore...

Yes, I know dividends are taxed but depending on how you do it, you can convert some of them to capital gains (like investing in S&P futures instead of an ETF) and you then don't have to pay tax on...
