There is a woman at the center I work at - she is very repressed and she does seem rather passive aggressive. Most are just polite though, not invested but polite.

We live in what can be considered South Vancouver - it's relatively shoddy on the edges, I think we will move somewhere more quaint but rent is getting a bit out of control so considering moving out...

My wife doesn't work anymore, after the baby, so it seems that the laws were for couples like us.
