Hi
A friend of mine got a refusal letter last week. He has been in a skilled worker immigration process (Buffalo/Detroit). How much time does he have to appeal the decision ? Is it worth the trouble...

I am not sure about your work experience if you have been independent contractor (even if you work 40/week), because there is a rule:

*** You must have at least one continuous year...

I belive YES. It suppose to speed up your process a lot. You can also sent a query to your Embassy asking for that.
I did this when I was in process and they send me YES !

So, the only possible way is apply as a skilled worker and earn 5 points for family in Canada ?

I am comming back after long brake, we got visas on February 2006 and leaved our country in the middle of March, now we are in Canada, working, living and enjoying, we are glad we are here...

but the occupation 6216 - Cleaning Supervisor is on the list (NOC), why may it not fall into category AB or 0 ? Would you like to clear this please ? :confused:

Visas picked up yesterday !!!

I went in person to Embassy in Warsaw yestarday, had waited for around 90 min. and .......... got our possports along with our visas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we're planning our trip of life...

Thanks Mr Miller, YES, the time was great considering Warsaw visa office - East Europe etc. ... It was nice surprise to get positive decision near Christmas. Even E-client changed last monday !!!...

Finally came !!!
PPR today. It took almost 2 years to finish the process. I am glad the day came and next week I'm going to pick up our visas.
