Re: Shipping household goods to the UK from Malta

We are using Shiplowcost to move to Gozo at just under 1 Cu Mtr costing us 80 Eu and takes about 1 week. They are a Maltese company so worth checking to see if they do the reverse trip to UK.
I...

Glad you enjoyed it,
We are still here and weather good over Christmas.
I agree, it may be wet but still mild compared to UK.
We will be out property hunting over the next 4 weeks on Gozo.

Re: 1 week in Malta 5 December

If you take the tour bus, get an early one as the service is reduced during winter months so if you decide to stop at any point along the route and get the next bus then you may find that you will be...

Re: 1 week in Malta 5 December

As...

Re: 1 week in Malta 5 December

The weekly pass cost 21 Euro and gives unlimited travel on Malta and Gozo (not Gozo Ferry). You could get one at the ferries ticket office on the Strand in Sliema.
On the bus I think it's now 1.5...

Re: 1 week in Malta 5 December

Not sure you would find Michelin starred in Malta. :<}
Lots of places to eat on the Strand from McD upwards and very busy during December so plenty to observe plus ferry to Valletta only about 1.50...

Re: Don't move to Malta!!!

Well we shall be putting this to test soon. It does really depend on ones lifestyle. We won't need a car, will be on Gozo and don't eat out very often.

Re: Confused about residence

Hi,
If you intend to stay longer than 3 months then you would have to apply for residency.

Moving to Gozo

We are planning a move to Malta/Gozo next year after I officially retire.
I have trawled the gov.mt site and others for info and am not sure of the correct procedure. We ultimately plan to live on...

Re: Malta Web Cams

Ahh, wrong bait.
We never use our webcams, wouldn't want anyone to see our ugly mugs. It's the cams in Malta and Gozo. For instance, today she watched the ferry arrive at Cirkewwa, unload and load...

Malta Web Cams

Hi,
I am getting worried about the wife, I sometimes find her blankly staring at a web cam, usually the Gozo ferry loading one but can be any in Malta or Gozo.
Would the cure be to move there?????

Re: Hi all

Not sure about the 80's but they are not so good out of town. I wouldn't want to use my own car there as the suspension wouldn't be up to the job. The term " green laning" takes on a whole new...
