My employer are asking whether it’s a possibility for me so it will be employer based - same as my L1 visa. I do not have relatives nor am I married to a US citizen/GC holder.

Thank you, as always appreciated. That is good to know. I will then start re-applying while on my current one like 6 months before it expires in order to keep it running without interference.
