Approved application for rehabilitation
Hello,
I hope this forum can help me. I have received an approval letter from the IRCC that my criminal rehabilitation application is approved and that I no longer is described in section 36 of the Immigration Act because of my declared conviction.
This is great, however, question is now when being asked question about criminal record in the EtA application - what do one reply? No/yes - if yes, likely all the same problems will occur again and it will be denied.
On the other hand, dont like to answer no... even with an approval letter in hand.
any one with experience on what is the right thing to do here in this situation?
Brgds and many thanks.

Congrats. You tick yes, because that's the right answer. But you will get the ETA if you've got your rehab, it'll just take a bit longer to sort.
Out of interest and for future ref of anybody searching the forums, how long did your rehab app take?

Thanks for the quick reply
You know about this from experience? Sounds to good to be true that I can trust the system to work and wont get refused again or something...?
Phew, I want to say about a year, perhaps a tic less. Once I got an email asking for additional docs, supplied same, then it went fast - less than a month.
Waiting time is crazy thought.

Well if the ETA people do their job and check the system they should see that rehabilitation has been granted however they may ask for more details about the offence as it has been known for people to get rehabilitation then go out and commit offences.
