Thanks all for your feedback - in short it wasn't possible to get an eID as a non citizen whilst overseas.

What was possible, was to apply for a separate login for a non citizen who needed to file...

Thanks it is helpful as it probably closes that route; she doesn’t have Belgian nationality so I will need to find a different route for her non resident tax returns.

Belgian eID for non residents

Hi there,

My Mum lived in Belgium in the 1970s where she met my Father (both UK citizens).

She is now lving in Australia, and is the recipient of a Belgian pension.

I need to get her...

Nope you are spot on.

Quickest route through this is for your wife to get 20 points on the IELTS. There is an alternative test, think it is called the PTE, but I would just go flat out on that...

I think that unless you have a degree in accounting or related subject, as a PQ you would struggle to get through on your points as accountants are being backed up at 70 points atm.

As a quick check is your wife's qualification at degree level? That might tip her to the 60 points and therefore could go under the 189 with her??

We got invited on 22nd January, submitted that day and all documentation uploaded by 25th January. Got the visas on 12th Feb.

Had taken your lead and downloaded the documents but didn't bother...
