Hi Moosemeadows, we did exactly the same thing as you in Vancouver in September, and didn't have a problem getting our SINs later that week. Enjoy your trip!

For what it's worth it took me 5 years to get PR as self-employed under the old system. I hope you can find a quicker way with the new system.
