I just went to get a quote out of curiosity ... now I need to choose one of these brokers and maybe I just start with a small amount to get the feel of it ... it's a bit scary.

Thanks all ... despite the GBP being 1.42 $ yesterday my bank wanted to charge me 1.56 to wire funds ... I politely told them to stuff it.

I'm in USA ... I'm sending around 100k but when I move I will need to send more when I purchase a property.

I'm planning on moving back .... in the meantime I'd like to take advantage of the low GBP rate and send some funds back to my British A/C ... could anyone tell me how I would do that please.

Three years ago when we were on holiday in Derby my husband was admitted into hospital and had emergency surgery ...we were told in the emergency room that we would be charged ... he was in ICU for...
