Ok so I lasted 9 whole months in the UK, but I quickly realized it wasn't "home" anymore, so now I am back in the US. No more country / continent hopping for me. I'll stay here and get my...

Re: A thank you, an apology and an update

Thank you! And it's good to know the loan companies are being phase out. I would hate to see that sort of predatory capitalism become commonplace over here.

Re: A thank you, an apology and an update

Yes, Cassiobury Park....it's enormous. I go there every 3 days or so to run as it's safe, plus the weather (aside from today) has been gorgeous. Watford in general is a nice town, although the...

Re: A thank you, an apology and an update

I did hear about Bruce Jenner - I reblogged it on my GB. But the romors have been flying around for a while, so it was really no shock to me. At least he has a good family of cisgender (born...

Re: Where in USA is most like UK?!

I found much of New England to be very similar to the UK in many ways. Many aspects of Boston seemed like a British city. It was still too "American" for me though :)

Re: A thank you, an apology and an update

It's a great town actually. I have all I need within walking distance. Great shopping, a nice enormous park I go running in, lots of restaurants and it's both close enough to London and far enough...

That's awesome! You were one of the few people on here I connected with at the time. I know you wanted to get back here too The thing with kids is they are usually more adaptive than adults.
