I have sent the social worker the Emails I sent to the support worker and the Samaritans and it seems to be a pattern, we have a row, he threatens to stop working on the app and go back to France.

I think dad has hit a low point and I'm guessing because he cannot think clearly he just wants to pack it in. I am seeking advice regarding the IP should I want to continue with it.

No dad is not disabled but he has not been doing the washing side of mum, it has been left to me and I could not cope with it a year ago. He would not be able to do a good job anyway, mums...

Age UK have been useless, we have contacted them several times and they sent up a letter saying the house in France was being considered in the assessment and we need to wait 18 months for the other...

Yes it is in joint names and our assets are under the threshold but because the council says we have the house in France, we are self funding (and the house is very remote and I doubt would sell for...

The problem is
1 - where we are houses are just not selling and
2 - the income from the house would then be used to pay for care - which means two or years down the line we would have no money...

Thanks for the replies, I know it would be a struggle to set up especially not being fluent in French but it's convincing dad and also depends on where we choose to live.

I know, but I don't see what option we have. The UK say we have to pay for home care as the house in France is an asset and not a home and because there of limited finances (and the house not sold)...
