AoS (I-864 and others)

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the final stages of sorting out my AoS application, and have a couple of questions:

In the I-864 affidavit of support, it asks for a photocopy of my wife's most recent tax...

But I am in the US as a non-immigrant through the L-1. My understanding is I haven't become an immigrant until I have permanent residence.

Why is that? The I-864 instructions say that as we are using my income, the income must continue from the same source when permanent residency is obtained.

That's great to hear, sounds like we're in the same boat. She's getting her name change sorted at the moment so I'll start printing off the forms when she gets her new passport back.

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind. I did a lot of the forms for my L1 visa as well so I'll adopt the same mindset.

Thanks, I'll have a look at them. I talked to Pickfords today and I'm not very impressed, a high quote and it was missing half the stuff I told them I want moved!
