Actually I meant do people in the UK fly somewhere hot at Christmas, I haven't met anyone who does that, as I said it defeats the purpose. Sorry maybe should have made it clearer.

So is 20% the usual deposit ? That is a huge amount of money to save, around 25k a year, wow. How would those on lower income manage ?

Do people do that here ? I have never heard of people doing that, defeats the purpose I reckon as it is supposed to be cold at Christmas.
