thank you all. To reply to a few questions. Yes I am still in the UK. I do not plan to import a car from the UK because it would be RHD and a bit of a pain to drive , rather I was thinking of buying...

the problem with some "brits" is that they exercise all the rights we enjoy as such, but neglect to observe our obligations. For them, being British is a matter of convenience.
