The best thing about flying through the States is the extra baggage allowance. Each adult gets to take 2 suitcases of 32kg each whereas if you go through Asia you can only take 1 suitcase weighing...

Many thanks. I had assumed I would go through the PR process after I had resided there for 2 years but if I can be included with his application it would be so much easier.

His firm have stated that they will start the PR process soon after he arrives. I, on the other hand, was just going to wait the 2 years then apply for PR as I didn't think I could do it any sooner.
