The price and requirements certainly put me off when I first learned about Kabelio. A decent receiver and the 3 month module, delivered to me in the Algarve from Amazon Spain, amounts to 215 Euros....

What is your setup, PC connected to smart TV with HDMI cable, and ethernet cable between router and PC like mine? Only streamed HD test videos, available on the internet, play in HD on my TV.

I have tested the video handling on my computers and they are both capable of streaming HD video. The problem lies somewhere else therefore.

My TV screen size is 50 in and so it clearly shows a difference between HD and SD. Mammals was only SD last night on BBC1 and so was rugby on ITVx in the afternoon. No restrictions on...

I think you will find that the article is referring to their downloads app which happened a week or so ago, not BBC iPlayer.

What I will miss is the HD video. Neither BBC iPlayer or ITVx are more than SD. Also, it was so much quicker to access whatever channel you wanted.
