On my last visit (end of June last year) the officer said cheekily, "enjoy him" after he told me to carry on through to get my bags and i said with a cheeky smile, "her"... ;)

What i meant with "be as honest as you can" is so that you don't contridict yourself when the question is asked in a different way.

Hi, the change in law has opened up new options for me and my US partner too.
Just got to decide if i want to live in USA or if she wants to like in the UK first

I have the hard decision to keep my already LDR long distance for a couple more years or make the move across the pond.

Answer their questions as honestly as you can and don't give any more than asked.
They will most likely ask how you met.
If you are going to a "non-tourist" location they will ask why going there...
