Default UK to USA expat hopefully

Hi,

As the title suggests I found this forum by searching Google for UK to USA expats.

A little about me:

I am married to a wonderful American woman without whom life is meaningless. She made the move over here a couple of years ago and has missed her family like crazy! Now that the laws in America are changing we are hoping to make the move over there so that she can be near them.

It's an exciting, but stressful time as we fill in the paperwork. We will have to go for a fiancée visa as we have a civil union which we intend to convert to a marriage licence once we are there after the 1st of June.

Thanks for reading.

Marrisa

Hi Marrisa and welcome to BE

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the US visa process but we have a large US section here - http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=57

Hopefully you can find the help and advice you need to make the process as painless as possible. Good luck

Good luck with the move!

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
