On your first point. My rationalising was, due to the obvious vastness of Ontario, (our first choice province) and due to obviously not having had the luxury of seeing all of it first hand (who has)...

On the surface, it seems to have many regions which ultimately / hopefully will provide job opportunities. Toronto is also a little more accessible (than BC) for flights from UK , for family visits. ...

Yep. Work options. Ontario has larger populated areas. Equals more work opportunities for us both.
