Does anyone have any experience of an African (Zambian citizen) staying in Barbados beyond the initial 6 months which is usually given as a member of a Commonwealth country?

Well wish me luck as I am about to embark on the same exercise. I have experience of dealing with foreign immigration officials and it not easy but a mutually beneficial relationship helps.

The good news is that the BHC has emailed me and confirmed that as long as both parents are Bajan whether or not they were married will not affect my application.

Thanks for responding. I did contact the BHC in London but the passport section was on voicemail. I also tried sending an email but the address was probably incorrect so it failed. I will not give up...
