I live in the Midi Pyronees. It's very convenient for cheap shopping in Andora and Spain.

I have been writing to MPs to get the payments stopped to those of us living in warmer climates. There are far more needy cases in the world. I pay my WFO to Wateraid.

If, like I do, you think that it is wrong for the UK to pay WFA to people who don't need it, write to www.writetothem.org.uk where you will find it simply to send an email to our British MEPs.

I have never lived in luxury, but when I lived in the Algarve (Portugal) my UK pension was certainly sufficient to live on,. The WHA did pay for my gin and tonic when I was sunbathing on Christmas...

I also left school at 15 with nothing and later joined the RAF (but no pension off them). I have 3 children ans 6 grandchildren but that has nothing do with me not wanting a Winter Fuel Allowance in...

But let's face it. We expats have chosen to leave the UK because we can afford it, or moved with a well-paid job, or sold our property for a small fortune. Whatever. Now they have to stop these...
