Today, after 7 months of AP, my status has changed to Issued.

Just waiting for delivery of passport now.

The embassy called me today asking for a copy of my wife's passport and citizenship, they did not tell me how to send it in though, and to be honest I forgot to ask them.

Well 6 months and 2 days since my interview, the embassy just called me and let me know my visa is ready to be issued, but I need to re-do my medical as it has expired.

Big big relief, although...

Nothing for me at the moment yet Syed.

128 days since my interview, and 79 days since they received my passport, and my last update was 56 days ago.

We too have tried to contact them via email...

I got an email after 45 days in AP to send in passport. So I guess it varies. I hope yours is resolved soon. Has your AP status been updated at all?

Just an update on my AP situation so far for those interested.

- Put into Administrate Processing after Interview, Status changed to 'AP'
- 1st AP after Interview lasted 6 weeks
- Emailed on...

Good news.

I had the same email a month ago, after 6 weeks of AP.
However, since I sent in my passport I was placed into AP again and it has nearly been a month since they have not returned it.

To be honest, my own opinion is that additional processing could be anything. In my case it is something that happened when they receive your passport and they see something that needs to be checked,...

Well it has been 3 weeks now and I don't have my passport.

Does anyone roughly on average or the longest they keep the passport when they request you to send it in?
