Do I have too have been a permanent resident for a set period of time before I am able to sponsor my girlfriend. She wasn't on my PR application as we hadn't been together long enough to be counted...

A time served apprentice is 5 years (40 hours per week) to challenge the red seal to gt your qualifications recognized in BC you need 9800 hours of work in your trade, basically the same as a time...

Are you a time served apprentice? At 20 I doubt it and you won't be able to challenge the red seal exam without it for the FSTP Visa or you can just get an offer of employment.

You will just need to get a I-94 at the border when you reenter the US in August if going through a land border. I can't see a problem I currently spend every weekend in the US for the past year also...

That was my point, I know too many people who skimped on insurance and ended up with massive bills because of it, not having the correct cover is as good as having none at all.

In that case why not buy insurance, print off the documents and cancel it strait away just so you can get through immigration as having insurance that doesn't give you the correct cover isn't worth...

I thought Roosville did deal with immigration as i'm sure a few friends have used it for temp work permits but I could be wrong, plus Roosville is extremely lax on what you are bringing back through.

$6 every 90 days is well worth the thousands I save in avoiding BC tax. Can't remember the last time I bought anything in Canada.

When I got my last I94 border patrol was telling me they are meant to get the ETSA system later this year which will make things easier.

Letter is dated: 24/04/13
Permit Validity: 31/03/14

Which implies I was accepted over 3 weeks ago, so looks like maybe there...

He has one year to activate it just as we do, he will get issued two year visa when he goes through immigration. The LOI is not a Visa.

Just go to an insurance brokers takes 10 min and $30 to swap your UK licence to a BC but you must have held a full UK licence for two years or you will have to take a driving test.
