The office was pretty full but there were about four or five windows dealing with everyone I was in and out in less then 30 minutes IIRC. I am in NOVA if that helps

I came to Virginia early 2014, I went along to my nearest Social Security Office and filled out a form after showing my status with my passport. I got my SSN and card a week later.

Thanks, I intend to do the citizenship thing so I won't be needing the whole of the ten year card, hopefully about a year of it will suffice LOL
