Re: London or Canada? Emigration Advice Required!

Similar to you, I've always had an ambition to live/work on the USA. I'm 28, 2.1 degree in IT, and currently working for the government managing a team of Tech Support Officers. For a long time, I...

Re: Visa - Disability

I've found in the UK that due to my sight, I've been guaranteed interviews as long as I meet the job requirements. Thankfully my eyesight hasn't stopped me from doing what I love so far (coding,...

Re: London Embassy Visa Process

Thanks, good to know.

There is a large group of us going for J1 interviews on Tuesday, so I'm not surprised it's fully booked.

We've been trying to find out if we can take our cell phones in...

Can I just confirm you are now allowed to take mobile phones into the embassy?

I have an interview on Tuesday and am getting mixed statements about whether you...

Re: SSN before or after job offer?

Oddly enough, I didn't actually find that when googling. I noticed a few websites stating that if you're on a J1, you have to have a job offer before you can apply for a social security number/card....

Re: Visa - Disability

As of right now, nope. I'm going to be a fresh graduate this year (IT), and plan on building a career in the UK for the foreseeable future.

Moving to the US via work (sponsorship/transfer) has...

Re: Visa - Disability

Okay, thanks.

Have an interview for a J1 visa soon (4 month sponsored exchange) which would allow me to live/work in the US over the summer. I lost vision in one eye, and slightly in the other,...

Visa - Disability

A simple question: Will a disability (say someone who is partially sighted) stop/hinder someone from obtaining a work (H1B/J1) visa?

VWP/J1 visa

In June 2014, I'll be heading to the US to work for a few months on a J1 visa. I also have a two week holiday booked for January 2014 where I'll be travelling on the ESTA/VWP.

Is it a good idea...

Re: Cable Jointer in the UK looking to move to the USA

I am unsure of how common sponsorship is for your line of work, however as you do not mention a degree anywhere, I'm assuming you do not have one, in which case, you'll need at least 12 years work...

Re: 18 Year Old - Seeking U.S Employment

The new immigration reform bill proposed by the gang of 8 is said to bring in thousands of 'unskilled/low skilled' immigrants, so that may not be the case for long, all-be-it the jobs are supposedly...

To get a work visa (H-1B...
