I am mind-boggled (and outraged) by the news that effective August 1, LTA will raise VEP for foreign cars to $35/day from $20... That's 75% increase!!

I guess this is Singapore's answer to reduce...

Holiday explains the madness at the border last Friday... I did see a lot of cars with families that day. On top of that, I think there are more people using 2nd link after the breach...

It's surprising that queue starts to build up so early, even at 5:45-6am. I'm assuming most people start work at 9am... I wonder what's the rush for people to cross the border so...

I was thinking it may be because of the recent breach of security at Woodland immigration... Because of the incident, maybe the jam in Woodland worsened and people are switching to Tuas?

Yes, you need to hold a Malaysian EP/busiiness visa/PR or MM2H to legally hire a maid in Malaysia.

Many people moving from Singapore are bringing their maid under Singapore...
