I did say it would be my first house... I plan to sell my JOINTLY owned house in the UK when the time is right! (I don't pay the council tax!!)

All the more reason NOT to DIY, unless you really know what you are doing, especially a female pensioner, whether she has an ONC...

I think there are earth wires, but capped/taped off.. The place was 'renovated' about 35 years ago. Difficult to remember as I am not there! Thanks though... Scary!

Err... no actually. They get left-overs (bread & pasta!) and 'proper' cat biscuits when I am there, plus whatever they can catch, which is presumably why they have them all. Irresponsible...

I think a few wires have got crossed here!! I thought I had explained myself so well too. Never mind... I think I know where I am at.............

No ring main in Italy, just need connector block...

Try getting to Umbria from Yorkshire!!

Monach & Jet2 will fly to Rome from Leeds next May, which will be good but I suspect will only be during the summer months. Then it is 150km train journey.....
