It may not even show up on the check- I had a caution when I was 14 so I noted it on my police certificate application form but when it came back it was all clear

With construction experience you'll be in demand! It's a pretty good site, you can search for exactly what you want and once you've completed your profile people will invite you to their house/farm...

Another option is www.helpx.net
basically you get free accommodation and board for approx 4 hours work a day in motels, farms etc- there are lots of options. We did it when we first came over on...

Thanks, this was originally a reply to someone asking whether a WHV started from the date you receive approval or when you arrive in NZ.

I'm now in NZ (arrived 1 month ago)

We've just received our WHVs - and have 1 year from the date it was issued to arrive in NZ. We then can stay in NZ for 12 months from the date we arrive. (We're UK based-don't know if it's different...
