Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

EnglishMuffin: Yes, I know I am. But originally, because of the advice given on the embassy website, I thought I wasn't eligible. I now realise I was mistaken.

Material: Better to over-assume than...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Ian: As I stated earlier, I agree with the points you make ( in the sense that another person posted the same basis for the argument you present). It is plausible for me to walk away from both. The...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Eccles: Although your point is partially true, there is the other side to it. That being that it does allow for tourism. To add credence to this notion of it being for tourism there is also the...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Material: Well I put my leaving date as June. Three months, 90 days, from that point would be September/October. However, I put December on the DS-160. Why would have I put December if I was solely...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

EnglishMuffin: I see your point. And a good one it is. Hopefully the evidence I've provided will be enough to persuade though. We shall see

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

EnglishMuffin: A wife and children won't be happening any time soon. And I should clarify, the letter regarding my job is a statement from my employer that I will be joining them as of January 2013....

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

I again see your point. My employer knows that I am intending to leave for the post-graduate course and has stated this on the letter that has been written for the embassy as my evidence.

Agreed...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Hillforest: Why would being rich make one more eligible?

Englishmuffin: What more evidence do you think I could provide?

Material: I'm not jollying around. I have specific areas and tourist...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Hillforest: I'm not unwilling to accept anyone else's opinion. What I am stating is that there to seems be a lot of group-think mentality going on without stating the obvious reasons as to why this...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Jerseygirl: The letter regarding my grandad, I believe, provides a reason as to why I would come back at any time, as mentioned, if anything happens to him. As such, in line with everything else, his...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

Indeed it is.

Either way, I've provided and will provide good reasons as to why 6 months is a suitable amount of time to travel in, also within the context of when my full time job starts.

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

I saw those statistics and thanks for posting them again. I'm confused though. I think my maths is wrong is stating then that roughly 75% of b2 visas are approved, but if we assume it's right, why is...

Re: B2 Visa-Update With Question

James: You're indeed right. It doesn't specifically refer to how many B2 visas, but instead the totality of non-immigrant visas. A refusal rate of 3% therefoe provides me with hope. I do understand...

Re: Applying for B2 Visa- U.K Conviction for driving without insurance

But the ESTA asks if I've ever been cautioned OR convicted, and I have been for both, relating to the committed crime in question. Regardless of Moral Turpitude the ESTA still asks that question and...

Re: Applying for B2 Visa- U.K Conviction for driving without insurance

May I ask why you think the driving offence is a non-issue?

My age is 21 as I stated. I have...
