I sent them an email back in December and they said its still pending review.

Re: Back in the UK for the holidays, how can I drive my UK family members car?

I don't have car insurance in Canada, I ended up going with insuredaily.co.uk 117 GBP for under 2 weeks of cover.

Re: Dual Nationality and activating a 2nd IEC on a different passport

I am on a current IEC on one passport and I have a POE letter for my second passport.

I guess my main concern is if I leave Canada on my second passport with POE and flagpole to activate it, will...

Re: Dual Nationality and activating a 2nd IEC on a different passport

Can anyone confirm what to do.

Should I exit Canada on my second passport which has the new visa or my current one to flagpole?

Re: PNP Applicants (Within Canada) - Share your timelines

No my employer is not willing to do an LMIA as it has been challenging for them in the past. Plus I doubt there would be enough time for that.

Do you think speaking with an immigration lawyer...

Re: PNP Applicants (Within Canada) - Share your timelines

Nope I'm in Ontario. Once you have your PNP letter apparently you can go to the border and get a work permit. But I just highly doubt I will have my PNP letter anytime before my visa expires.

Re: PNP Applicants (Within Canada) - Share your timelines

My work has sent off their first part of the PNP application back in January but this is still being processed.

My visa expires in October so it is unlikely I will have my PNP in time as I have...

Re: PNP Applicants (Within Canada) - Share your timelines

I'm also applying to the Ontario PNP. Did anyone else get an affidavit completed? Is it relatively simple to do?

Re: PNP Applicants (Within Canada) - Share your timelines

Also is the application pretty straight forward to do?...

Re: Visitor visa application Withdrawn. IEC to Visitor to IEC

Re: Visitor visa application Withdrawn. IEC to Visitor to IEC

I see.. but if i was refused entry by the US to flagpole do you think they would still be able to grant a visitor stamp? Or would I need to go into the US and then come back?

Re: Visitor visa application Withdrawn. IEC to Visitor to IEC

Apparently a visitor isn't a visa though and on that page it doesn't say anything about switching to a visitor from a work permit.

A trip around the flagpole, as the term is used on the BE forum,...

Re: Visitor visa application Withdrawn. IEC to Visitor to IEC

I just spoke to the CIC and they told me I can't flagpole to activate myself as a visitor. I have to physically leave Canada then come back. You can only flagpole to activate a work visa.
