Certainly a wake up call!

I am a 25 and in the stages of purchasing a first time home, saw a few homes I liked and began the process of becoming pre-approved.

75k per year salary.
110k down...

Good luck.
I would love to come back to the UK one day, however with the cost of living and lack of opportunities right now in my profession in the UK it would be very difficult.

I certainly enjoy the Quebec sense of humour when away on business, mocking the English Canadians all which I completely agree with : )
