Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Thanks everyone - please be assured I am suitably cautious and thinking long and hard about the best way forward. I don't mind hearing about the pitfalls - its part of why I am here - just no...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

I agree - I wish we had made the move years ago but we were not in the position financially, but I weigh it up against NOT doing it. I suppose it comes down to the kids themselves, mine are...

Internet connection is a must. We are on 3mb just now -...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Please don't try and tell me what I will and will not be doing to my children, how dare you. I have never come across such arrogance. You do not know me or my children and therefore you cannot begin...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Thanks - as discussed previously we are aware of the ss - we never suggested waiting 2 years.

I know my kids and I have a more open view on what kids need and are capable of and I do not find...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

I gave a brief intro to me, so people knew a bit about us, I then answered questions asked of me (or more apt, I responded to others telling me what I should and shouldnt be doing :))

My main...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

As I have already said, I am looking for general info on where the most popular ex-pat areas are - what is confusing about this request? I would have though it common sense. If someone goes to the...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

My fear is NOT making a move and regretting it later. Here, class sizes are 1 teacher to 34-35 kids. Compare that to most international schools of 20-25 per class at most.

I always have an exit...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Thanks :)

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

LOL I am probably being optimistic about what we spend just now - my rent and council tax - before anything else comes to £1200 - its just ridiculous but again, I have a bargain given the house...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Thats a great point Rosemary. It has always been our intention to let our kids decide what they want to do when the time comes our ideal scenario would be that they stay in International School...

Re: Thinking of moving to spain and have some questions.

Again, We cannot live cheaper in the uk and STILL keep within the catchment area, its a very expensive area (and we have one of the cheaper rented properties)

Again, I'll have to ask you to trust...
