My brother in law is a PCP its no wonder when he encounters people like yrself that he takes great pleasure in inflating your bill with unnecessary tests and procedures.

If he is over the age of 60 why hasnt Medicare kicked in? If things so bad could always fly back to the UK as one of the other posters on here suggested happened.

From what you describe completely agree the NHS is not sustainable but doubt any politician will change it much. The health social care bill is an eyewash wont change the problems you describe above....

Listen if an American goes to work in england they pay tax and ni for benefits they can't claim as they have 'no access to public funds' stamped in their passport. Is it fair? No is it the way it is?...

Guess you not seen the referral management systems they got in place in england that are basically designed to block or filter referrals based on arbitrary criteria e.g no Hip replacement if BMI over...

Her point being?? I doubt the numbers of people flying back to the UK for cancer treatment would be significant enough to impact on the figures.

Also has anyone here ever been to a county hospital...

Well in the NHS the buzzword at the minute is choice choice choice etc etc Harsh truth and fact is there is no choice. The only true choice I ever had in choosing a doctor was here.

You think the whole of the US is flying back to the UK then? Doubt its a significant number. Also to access NHS treatment you have to be ordinarily resident for a time period first ?3 or 6 months.
