Thanks for the help guys. I'll be trying to find a job from the UK and negotiate the relocation and visa costs with any potential employers. Maybe go 50/50. Best thing I can do is ask I suppose!

Does anyone know what visa is the most attractive to employers in Australia? I've heard very recently that the Working Holiday Visa is not attractive to employers for a serious engineering position....

I'd try to get sponsored by a company (457). But if that doesn't happen I'd try the state/territory sponsored visa. Then if I don't get that I'll try the holiday visa I think. I'm not 100% sure...
