Many in the Forum live in the North. As the area is only recognised by Turkey, are pensions frozen at the time of emmigration from EU counties to the Turkish Administered Area of Cyprus?

All land in Cyprus is registered in Nicosia and checks of ownership, North or South, can be made. Of course, interchange of land between Turkish Cypriots in the North may not be fully recorded. ...

Permits to buy booze. All very well for those in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For those in Al Ain and other outlying cities we have 2 round trips to make, 1 to lodge our application and another to collect...

I have no doubt that you are correct. As yet I have not received a formal reply from the London Embassy and suspect that their webmaster has not been able to update the information.

I am living in Al Ain having arrived through Abu Dhabi. The Ministry of Interior stamp says that I can stay for 30 days. However, the London UAE Emabassy say I can ignore the stated 30 days and...
