Good to know. He is eligible, but only because he is my common law partner and I am a provincial nominee. That's why I thought we had to apply together.

Yeah, that option also crossed my mind. The problem is, my common law partner is not travelling with me so won't be at the POE with me to get his new work permit at the same time. Unless he can...

The 'list' of jobs for CEC I'm referring to is the NOC list which classifies jobs in to different categories. Only those jobs in the 0, A or B categories count towards the 1 year work experience...
